See You In 5 1/2 Years!

TaDaa! I finally went to the dentist this week to have my teeth cleaned and all my cavities filled. But guess what????? I didn't have any cavities!! It was awesome. I can't remember ever going to the dentist and not having cavities. The funniest part was when the hygenist was telling me that I did a good job with my flossing. I just let her believe that I flossed all the time and felt that it was an important part of my daily routine. I didn't have the heart to tell her that I have only been flossing in preparation for my trip to the dentist. The bad thing is that now they have removed all the smoothing plaque that used to fill the cracks between my bottom teeth. It is rather annoying to have all those spaces and I am hoping that they will fill in quickly. Since I didn't have any cavities - I figure why not make it another 5 1/2 years till I go back?

I am unique! My quirks make me unique!

My cousin Stephanie tagged me to name six of my quirks, so like Stephanie said on her blog, our quirks make us unique, they are who we are. So here goes:

1) I like my car to be clean! It drives me crazy when it gets even dusty, I don't know why but I think a clean car is important.

2) My wife always says I am a people pleaser and I guess in a way I am. I often care more about what others think than even what I think about it. This goes for almost everything, I'm not sure why, but I am always worried that other people will have a bad opinion of me.

3) I love Tabasco! What a wonderful invention Mr. McIlhenny came up with. It really is something wonderful, I add it to most of my food. I haven't added it to ice cream personally, but while touring their factory in Louisiana, I was able to partake of their tabasco flavored ice cream, and it was pretty good!

4) My wife says this is a quirk, but I just think it's a fact, I am NEVER wrong!

5) No matter what it is, I like all of my possesions to be in perfect condition. I hate something that is used (such an ugly word). This is why I always trade in my car and buy new sunglasses. If it aint perfect, I want it new.

6) Despite my obsession with cleanliness and perfection, I am truly in love with Melanie who is neither of these. I love you sweetie!

Going through and thinking about my quirks, I suddenly realize that I am a little wierd. But again, I guess that is what makes me unique.

I now tag my sister Kim, my sister-in-law Karissa, Jen Moon and of course my Facebook friend, Katie. Have fun guys!

Citizen's Arrest!

So, Friday night Kelly and I were out doing our grocery shopping (isn't that what all the cool people do on Friday night?) and we were innocently driving down the street. This crazy lady nearly side swiped us and then gunned it and cut us off. She was all over the road, swerving, straddling the line, nearly missing garbage cans, running up on curbs, and driving at a high rate of speed. My Kelly, just doing his duty as a "law abiding" citizen called 911. We had to follow this crazy lady and tell them where we were heading in the hopes that the cops could come and stop her. We followed her home and had to park down the street and wait for the cops to arrive. As we waited, Kelly was getting nervous that we might have been paranoid about her driving and maybe she was just in a hurry. Well, the cops showed up and talked to her for a minute (she was still in her car 5 minutes after parking) and then she got out and they slapped the cuffs on her! She was drunker than a skunk at 5pm and driving around in rush hour traffic like a maniac. Thanks to Kelly the streets are a little safer now. Please note, if you plan on breaking the law don't let Kelly see you do it or you will suffer the consequences.

FHE

Tonight we had a yard activity to go along with FHE. We planted more bulbs! I know, I can hardly believe it myself. What were we thinking??? Hopefully, this bulb planting will be more successful than our last attempt. We planted about 240 bulbs!!! We planted crocus and tulip bulbs and we hope to have some beautiful spring flowers. The last area we planted was done in the dark, so hopefully it will look okay when they start to grow. The best part is that all the waiting that goes along with bulbs will be done over the winter, so hopefully I can be patient and be pleasantly surprised in the spring Ü

The Office

We had an Office party last night and ate a lot of food that went against the idea of "Weight Loss". We ate pizza, chips and sausage dip, and these little jalapeno thingies. We ate so much that we made ourselves ill! It was great to watch the season premier of our favorite show though and to see what would happen with all the new people/faces on the show. I enjoyed the episode and really liked when Holly had her explosion at Angela over Kevin being "mentally challenged". Anyway, I hope you all got to watch last night and are looking forward to a great new season.
